The goal of the site is to allow design and construction professionals a platform to share and gain knowledge to help streamline their everyday processes. By not only being educated, but sharing ideas and tools that you develop, the site will become more beneficial and an asset to the industry. Monthly the site will award ‘Steel Tool of the Month’ prizes to the tool that brings the best benefit to the industry, as determined by the frequency it was downloaded and the ‘score’ it achieved for functionality, accuracy, and completeness. There will also be random awards given to users for ‘Power User of the Month’. The AISC Steel Solutions Center will also put out petitions for ideas for steel tools that are needed, based on what we here in our call center, and competitions will be held to encourage development of these types of tools. Some of these competitions will have physical awards that may accompany them as the ‘prize’, and if that is the case, it will be announced at the beginning of each contest when they are announced.
